Studio Squad: Suminagashi

We all know that expressing yourself is part of living your best life—so grab your tween and help them live theirs with an afternoon of artmaking!

Inspired by our temporary exhibition In American Waters: The Sea in American Painting, we’ll dive into the art of suminagashi, “floating ink”, to create unique marbled ink paintings inspired by the sea and sky during a storm. No experience? No problem! We’ll be right there every step of the way to help your tween craft a one-of-a-kind artwork ready to take home or share online.

So whether you’re looking for a safe, fun way to have time with friends or add in some much-needed self-care for your kids, drop on by. There’s always room for one more on the studio squad.

Free, tickets required. Register online or by calling Guest Services at 479.657.2335.

Per the CDC’s updated guidelines, we are now requiring all guests ages 2 and up and staff to wear a face covering indoors and while attending outdoor programs, except while eating or drinking. Masks will be available upon entry for those who do not have one. We will observe social distancing during this program.
