Join us and our partners at the Arkansas Coalition of Marshallese (ACOM) for the first event of the 2022 Stroll The Atolls Festival, a two-day event of Marshallese community celebrations and programs.

A fun family event designed for kids ages 8-12 and their caregivers, the Liktanur Bike-A-Thon gives an opportunity for the Marshallese and broader Northwest Arkansas communities to bike together on the museum trails. The event includes a two-mile kids bike ride on the museum trails, with parents and caregivers remaining on-site during the bike ride event. The program will end with a free breakfast provided by ACOM.

Along the way, kids will discover stops along the path where they’ll hear a traditional Marshallese folktale. This folktale has survived thousands of years through oral storytelling from Marshallese elders and tells the story of the goddess Liktanur and an epic canoe race.

This program is presented in partnership with Pedal It Forward, who have generously provided free bikes to all registered youth who participate.
