CB to You Mobile Art Lab: Brush Strokes Art Show
Springdale, the CB to You Mobile Art Lab is coming to your neighborhood!
Join us as we visit Archer Learning Center’s art show, Brush Strokes, featuring artworks created by Archer students and presented by students and faculty. Archer Learning Center is the alternative learning high school of Springdale Public Schools. As an alternative learning environment, Archer supports diverse, nontraditional students to overcome barriers to graduation and prepare for a lifetime of success. Student artworks will be displayed throughout the school, and all are welcome to visit.
The Mobile Art Lab will be hosting an artmaking station where visitors can create a mixed media print, pick up a free watercolor set, and get free tickets to see our latest temporary exhibition at the museum, The Dirty South: Contemporary Art, Material Culture, and the Sonic Impulse. We’ll also be featuring local artist Anthony Garcia Calcoa, who will be creating a large chalk mural alongside Archer students.
So stop on by—there’s sure to be plenty of creative fun for all.
Free, no tickets required. Drop by anytime from 5 to 7 p.m.
About Our Featured Artist: Anthony Garcia Calcoa
Anthony Garcia Caloca is originally from Santa Ana, California, and is a self-taught artist and music producer. Anthony has been creating artworks for 10 years and throughout their journey has witnessed the power of internal growth flowing from spirit to heart-mind through expression on canvas. Caloca is part of creative groups such as The Springdale Stitches, Arts Center Of The Ozarks, 214, TASC, and Crystal Bridges. Caloca says, “What I hope to deliver to people from my art is for them to receive a feeling of a high vibration to inspire them to release their unique touch onto whatever they aspire.”

The CB to You Mobile Art Lab is a traveling pop-up art experience energizing the power of community through art. Featuring regional artists from across Northwest Arkansas, the art lab will be visiting local libraries and festivals around the region to bring artmaking, music, storytelling, and more. From live demonstrations and drop-in artmaking to artist talks and live music, each visit promises to bring a bit of inspired fun for everyone.
