Virtual Art By the Glass - Photo Embroidery

This event has passed

Bring new life to an old photograph or postcard by learning to embellish it with simple embroidery stitches. In conjunction with our current exhibition Crafting America, join us for a digital evening of at-home artmaking for adults in our Virtual Art by the Glass event, with step-by-step instruction from local artist Jan Dollins Waldon.

Three people in early 20th-century attire on pebbles, with a colorful mosaic background.

Relax, pour yourself a drink, and connect virtually as you’re guided through introductory embroidery techniques inspired by Waldon’s series Amended Memories: The COVID Collection. No sewing experience is necessary; just bring your imagination and a playful spirit.

What You’ll Need:

  • Photograph or Postcard (that you would like to sew onto)
  • Needle
  • Embroidery Floss or Thread

Register online for free or call Guest Services at 479.657.2335. A link to join the Zoom meeting will be included in your ticket confirmation email.
