In conjunction with the Crafting America exhibition, we invite you to a weekend of experimentation with clay and mixed media materials led by local artist Anthony Sonnenberg. In this two day workshop ( May 22 and May 23), Anthony will share images gathered from many cultures throughout history examining how humans, through wearable art, make themselves feel powerful. Guests will make their own versions of empowering wearable art and the workshop will end with guests wearing their art in a photoshoot. In this workshop guests will explore wearable art and empowerment in other cultures, and create their own visual language of empowerment.

As a safety precaution and to comply with CDC guidelines, Crystal Bridges and the Momentary require face coverings at outdoor programs and events, as well as at food and drink venues, except when eating and drinking. Following CDC guidelines, face coverings with exhaust valves or vents are not allowed.

All workshop materials will be provided.
